Zoya- Brooklyn

Hello and welcome to another nail blast post.

Today I’d like to discuss Zoya’s Brooklyn.

Brooklyn is a buttery, honey gold with a pearlish finish and belongs to Zoya awaken collection.

Which also includes:

Cole– a light bright peach with orange undertones- creme finish

Dillon– green mint metallic with silver shimmer

Dot– petal pink creme polish

Hudson– pastle lilic with dense golden glassfleck shimmer

Rebel– pastle robin egg blue with glassfleck gold shimmer

Monet– multi coloured, cellophane holographic special effects topper

Plain Swatch

Zoya’s Brooklyn is a warm toned, buttery, honey gold pearlecent polish and fully covers in three coats.

This is a beautiful soft gold that in terms of formula is ok if you follow the steady hand rule, at first Brooklyn is very thin, patchy and very prone to streaking but if you use minimal brush strokes, the colour fills in by coat two and any brush stroke that are created do thankfully dry out.

Despite its flaws this polish does apply rather smooth with no bleeding issues and when dry this polish is utterly beautiful with a strength for versatility, Brooklyn with it warm, unique shade is great for causal or going out Mani and one polish that’s going to be a feature in many of my future nail sets.

Art Swatch

If you’re read my post before you will know I love to show you all the ways my chosen polish can be part of your life, in more ways then just you fingertips.

Below is everything that would look awesome paired with Brooklyn and everything it has inspired and help create.

Me and my family loves wax melts and creating an atmosphere through the sense of smell, if Brooklyn was transformed into a wax melt this is what I think it would smell like.

Honey the kids are washed by scentful home melts

Notes of: Golden honey, soft white musk, sparkling bergamot, bits of toffee, crisp apple and sweet orange.

If Brooklyn was to be worn with and Inspire an outfit,I think this bright summer daytime outfit would look awesome with Brooklyn on the fingertips.

A full length lace yellowy gold dress paired with lace heels and hoop style gold handbag.

Soft yellowy gold eyeshadow with shimmer gold lipstick and gold heart pendant with yellow flowers completes this stylish day outfit.

If Brooklyn was to inspire home decor, I think this warm, nature based bedroom represents the colour and vibe of Brooklyn perfectly.

Yellow gold 60s style flower feature wallpaper paired with gold stripped bedding and yellowy gold with outline leaf design celling lamp hanging above.

Yellowy gold oil painted flowers as features artwork with various gold yellow vases as feature accent item and full length gold flowers curtains complete this feminine styled bedroom.

Overall Brooklyn is a beautiful, classy, unique shade that no nail collection should be without.

Brooklyn suits all types of Manis whether is subtle and casual or classy and going out, like your fav lipstick this should be a staple in your daily life.

This one is going to have a permanent spot on my favourite shelf.

Essie- Bond with whomever

Hello everyone and welcome to another nail blast post.

Today I want to discuss Essie’s Bond with whomever.

Bond with whomever is a soft, light lilic with pink undertones and belongs to Essie’s Madison Ave Spring 2013 collection.

Which includes:

Avenue maintain- a medium toned Persian blue crème

Ginza- a cherry blossom pink creme

Hip-anema- a tomato red creme with orange undertones

Madison ave-hue- a medium toned, bright, Barbie pink creme

Maxmillian Strasse- a medium toned sage green creme that has noticeble grey tones

This collection of Essie was all named after famous streets.

Anema- is in Greece

Strasse- is in Berlin

Madison Avenue- is in America

Bond- is in London

Ginza- is in Japan

Avenue maintain- Paris

What Essie had to say about the collection

Plain Swatch

Bond with whomever is a soft, light, lilic purple crème with noticeable pink undertones and fully covers in 3 to 4 coats depending on application.

I want to say first off I absolutely love this shade of purple but unfortunately this is where the praise for this Essie ends.

The formula for bond with whomever is terrible!

It’s incredible watery and thin which then causes extreme bleeding and to top it off it also streaks.

This lovely lilic take a lot of time, effort and several different techniques just to get a smooth coverage.

Despite the fact that I adore this shade, this polish will only be coming out when I have a day to myself and I’ll definitely be on the hunt for a dupe with a better formula.

Art Swatch, bond with whomever with dark purple glitter rose lace and fine drawn glitter roses

If you’re read my post before you will know I love showing you all the ways my chosen polish can be part of your life, in more ways then you fingertips.

Below is everything that would look awesome paired with bond with whomever and everything it has inspired and help create.

Me and my family love wax melts and creating an atmosphere through the sense of smell if bond with whomever was transformed into a wax melt this is what I think it would smell like.

Twilight garden by berry Coco

Notes of white musk, jasmine, peach, apples, lily & ylang-ylang’

If bond with whomever was to be worn with and inspire an outfit, I think this chic spring outfit would look awesome with bond with whomever on the fingertips.

A lilic lace holter neck dress paired with lilic flowered heels and a purple crop shrug.

A lilic gradient retro necklace, lilic cat flick eyeshadow and lilic lipgloss completes this fashion forward outfit.

If bond with whomever was to inspire home decor, I think this mix of modern and vintage style represent the vibe and shade of this Essie perfectly.

A lilic flower & bird print feature wallpaper paired with a lilic tiled styled bedding set with a plain lilic lampshade hanging above.

A pallet knife lilic tree feature artwork, a vintage kittens under a sunhat feature accent item and full length, lilic, vine patterned curtains complete this charming bedroom.

Overall Essie’s bond with whomever shines brightly in the colour delivered department but after this, this shining diamond turns into cubic zirconia.

I’ll still going to be using this polish but only when I know I’ve got plenty of time and wine to tackle it.

Which also includes:

Crushed diamond- a bright cold silver foil

Bubbly- a bright yellow based gold foil

Marvelous- a medium toned, burnt ruby red foil

Majestic- a bright iris purple foil

Sublime- a bright turquoise foil

Gold coin- a soft biscotti gold foil

Rose mimosa- a bright raspberry pink foil

Dynasty-a medium toned blood red foil

Violet vixen- a medium toned violet purple foil

Jaded- a bright medium toned jade green foil

Glacier- a dark Azure blue foil

Metallica- a dark gunmetal grey foil

What LA colours had to say about thier collection.
Become the queen of edge with refined metal shine. This long-lasting polish has a mesmerizing metal effect from bright, jewel tones to classic metals.

Plain swatch

Molten by LA colours is a dark coffee brown foil type base polish and fully covers in two to three coats depending on application.

Although molten is classed as a foil polish to me this brown just isn’t strong enough in shine to be a full foil, it’s more like a slightly soft foil brown with subtle brown shimmer.

Although maybe slightly different to advertised this still a beautiful, intense, brown that almost covered in one coat! But I did end up doing two coats just so I definitely got full depth of colour. Molten dries slightly darker then the bottle but otherwise has a smooth, no streaks or running, formula.

This brown is beautiful, deep polish and great for subtle, classy Manis. Molten is definitely a polish I’ll be keeping close at hand.

Art Swatch paired with gold nail art & I love glitter polish

If you’re read my post before you will know I love showing you all the ways my chosen polish can be part of your life, in more ways than just on your fingertips.

Below is everything that would look awesome with molten and everything that it’s has inspired and help create.

Me and my family love wax melts and creating an atmosphere through the sense of smell, if molten was to be transformed into a wax melt this is what I think it would smell like.

Chestnuts & brown sugar by scentful home melts

Top notes of caramel, brown sugar, nuts, maple and butter, followed by powdery middle notes, on a fresh, full-bodied base note of chestnut.

If molten was to be worn with and inspire an outfit I think this classy, day outfit would look awesome with molten on the fingertips.

A brown twist style holter neck paired with a brown Aline skirt and brown high heels.

A brown feathered dream catcher necklace, brown smoky eyeshadow and brown Matt lipstick completes this chic, classy casual outfit.

If molten was to inspire home decor, I think this rich decadent bedroom represent the colour and vibe of molten perfectly.

Brown tree pattern feature wallpaper paired with brown demask pattern bedding with a brown wicker lampshade hanging above.

A brown bear and forest feature artwork, a wooden jumping hare feature accent item and full length brown felt demask curtains completes this classy, rich bedroom.

Overall although molten isn’t as foil or metalic as promised this is a beautiful, intense brown that is great as a everyday polish.

Whether for a quick nail set or to create a classic, sensual vibe this polish is a must.

Zoya- Aggie

Hello everyone and welcome to another nail blast post.

Today I want to discuss Zoya’s AggieZoya Aggie is a gold, holo flip liquid metal with bronze micro glitter and is part of Zoya flare collection.
Which also includes:

Cinnamon– a dark bronze liquid metal
Ember– a intense firey red liquid metal
Estelle– a dark eggplant purple liquid metal
Giada–  a lapris blue liquid metal
Tris– a dark brushed nickel liquid metalPlain swatch
Aggie by Zoya is a gold holo flip liquid metal with bronze micro glitter and fully covers in three to four coats.
A holo flip polish means that Aggie is a nail polish that is both holographic and multi chromed.

Although this polish is stated as a holo, it’s more of a liquid metal with glitter, for me, I really struggle to see the holographic part of this shade but despite this, it is a absolutely beautiful nail polish.

Although very strong coloured in the bottle, the formula for this Zoya is unfortunately not the best. Aggie is extremely patchy and can take more then three coats to get full, strong coverage. Although this was frustrating I honestly believe this colour is worth it. Apart from the patchiness this polish thankfully has no problems with streaking or bleeding.

Once dry this polish is glamorous, eye catching and unlike any gold metallic you have seen before!

If you’re read my post before you will know I love showing all the ways my chosen polish can be part of your life, in more ways than just your fingertips.

Below is everything that would look awesome with Aggie and everything it has inspired and help create.

Me and my family love wax melts and creating an atmosphere through the sense of smell, if Aggie was transformed into a wax melt this is what I think it would smell like.

Lady Lucilles Poisoned Elixir by the Gypsy Monroe wax co.

Lady Lucilles Poisoned Elixir:
Black Tea + Bergamot + Jasmine + Cedarwood + Vetiver + Black Currant + Sandalwood + Honey Almond Cake Bites

If Aggie was to be worn with and inspire an outfit I think this glamorous evening outfit would look awesome with Aggie on the fingertips.

A full length glitter evening dress paired with a full length demask jacket and gold leaf glittery heels.

A two heart gem necklace, gold leaf and pearl hair clip and bold gold glitter eyeshadow and gold lipstick completes this dazzling outfit.
If Aggie was to inspire home decor I think this rich, vibrant bedroom represent the colour and vibe of this polish perfectly.

A Gold floral feature wallpaper paired with gold flower bedding with a gold gem ball celling light hanging above.

A gold writing on blackboard feature artwork ( let’s blow bubbles & drink prosecco) A gold crouched women as feature accent item and full length gold brush stroke effect curtains complete this glamorous bedroom
Overall Aggie is a beautiful metallic gold that will glamourize any outfit and brighten up any season.

Although not the easier of polish to use, I believe this shade is definitely worth the extra effort.

This is a liquid metal that will melt your heart.

Essie Diamond in the cuff

Hello everyone and welcome to another nail blast post.

Today I want to discuss Essie’s Diamond in the cuff.

Diamond in the cuff is a pearlscent bright silver shimmer and belong to Essie hoilday 2017 collection.

Which also includes:

It-pearl– a light lilic creme

Gold Guilding– a pink toned rose gold soft metallic

My nail polish review of gold guilding here: https://nailblast.wordpress.com/2019/03/18/essie-gilded-in-gold/

Jade to measure- a bright emerald green metallic

Amethyst noir- a very dark eggplant purple shimmer

Plain Swatch

Diamond in the cuff is a pearlscent, bright silver shimmer and fully covers in three to four coats but if you want a very subtle shimmer using one coat will tint your nail with a beautiful glow while still being able to see the nail underneath.

Diamond in the cuff is a beautiful glowing colour that has a sheer formula but this sheerness can be easily built upon to get a strong full colour. This Essie paints on easily with no issues with bleeding, streaking or patchiness.

The shimmer in this formula helps soften this silver to give it a beautiful elegant subtleness which is a great change from the harshness of most silver polishes lately.

If your looking for a silver Polish that is elegant, subtle yet captivating look no further! This is one Polish that will be featuring in many of my future Manis.

Art Swatch

If you’re read my post before you know I love showing you all the ways my chosen polish can be part of your life in more ways than just your fingertips.

Below is everything that would look awesome paired with diamond in the cuff and everything it has inspired and help create.

Me and my family love wax melts and creating an atmosphere through the sense of smell, if diamond in the cuff was to transform into a wax melt, this is what I think it would smell like.

Silver birch & vetiver by cherry pit craft

This is a scent that men will love – it’s manly in the best possible way. A huntsman sits on his cabin porch peeling an orange. Around him the air is thick with the promise of a storm. The pine trees sway in the strong wind, pine cones falling to the earth with gentle thuds. Wild flowers dance in unison as the breeze sweeps over them. Silver birch leaves, clementine peel and crisp ozonic notes are followed by pine cone accords and white geraniums with a dry down of vetiver, sandalwood, and sequoia woods.

If diamond in the cuff was to be worn with and inspire an outfit I think this elegant evening outfit would look awesome with diamond in the cuff on the fingertips.

A silver lace and bead mini dress paired with a silver glitter cropped cardigan and silver gem heels.

A diamond envelope clutch, a diamond interwoven hearts necklace and diamond lace flower earrings complete this classic evening outfit.

If diamond in the cuff was to inspire home decor I think this elegant bedroom represent the colour and vibe of this Essie perfectly.

Silver art deco style feature wallpaper paired with a silver art deco pattern bedding set with a silver glitter and crystal chandelier hanging above.

A silver pallet knift feature artwork, a silver crystal tribal women figurine as feature accent item and full length silver and diamond boarded curtains completes this glamorous classy bedroom.

Overall diamond in the cuff is a great change of pace for silver polishes and although subtle and softer this beautiful shade is no less eye catching.

If you want a silver that glows beautifully while still exuding a classy vibe, pick diamond in the cuff now!

This polish is definitely going on my favourite shelf.

Essie- Fiji (classic version)

Hello everyone and welcome to another nail blast post.

Today I want to discuss Essie’s classic Fiji

Fiji (classic) is a very milky pink creme and belongs to Essie core classics. This polish was reformulated in 2013.

Other classic of Essie include:

Ballet slipper- a pale rose tea pink with a sheer finish

Licorice- a soild jet black creme

Blanc- a snow white creme

Baby breath- a creamy white with a tiny of pink

Sugar daddy- a sheer petal pink

Wicked- a very dark red creme looks almost black

Waltz- off tone sheer white

Plain swatch

Essie Fiji classic is a cool toned very light pink creme and fully covers in three to four coats depending on application.

Although this is one of Essie classic it’s has a horrible formula. Fiji is extremely watery, bleeds no matter what and if not careful streaks. Also in certain light this soft hardly there pink can look like a off tone white.

Despite its formula problems this Essie has a big fan base and I can kinda understand why, although it took a great deal of effort and time to apply this pink, I do actually love this colour and it’s a pink which suites my very pale skin, which can be a challenge in itself.

Be warned if you want to try this Essie be aware that this is a monster polish but if you do manage to tame the monster you will be rewarded with a delicate, classy nail colour.

Essie classic Fuji Vs new Fuji

Despite Essie big fan base for Fiji they did listen to everyone issues with the formula and eventually chose to reformulate this polish. Unfortunately I don’t have the new Fiji and therefore I can’t do a compression, although I am aware there are some big difference between classic and new. To find out all about the new fiji please click the link to a fellow nail polish blogger who has reviewed this interesting polish:

If you’re read my post before you will know I love showing you all the ways my chosen polish can be part of your life in more ways than just on your fingertips.

Below is everything that would look awesome paired with Fiji and everything it has inspired and help create.

Me and my family love wax melts and creating an atmosphere through the sense of smell, if Fiji was transformed into a wax melt, this is what I think it would smell like.

Strawberry lemonade

Strawberry Lemonade Wax Melts are a sweet & citrusy fragrance. It smells just like your favorite refreshing summertime drink! Bright, citrusy lemonade with juicy sweet strawberries.

If Fiji was to be worn with and inspire an outfit I think this elegant evening outfit would look awesome with Fiji on the fingertips.

A pale pink long lace dress paired with chunky ribbon heels and pale pink flowers hair clip.

A pale pink envelope clutch, a pink pearl necklace and pale pink eyeshadow and pink matte lipstick completes this elegance, chic outfit.

If Fiji was to inspire home decor I think this feminine styled bedroom represent the colour and vibe of this Essie perfectly.

Pale pink Chevron feature wallpaper paired with a pale pink vine pattern bedding set with a pale pink, lace flower lampshade hanging above.

A pink and monochrome Paris feature artwork, a pink dancer figurine feature accent item and Full length pale pink flower curtains completes this cute, welcoming, feminine bedroom

Overall Fiji is a beautiful, subtle colour but it’s formula is the thing of nightmares.

If I had to buy it again knowing what I know now, I’d probably attempt to find other polish with a similar shade as this just took too much time, effort and re-dos.

If you do try this polish out be aware that in order to get that beautiful shade this Essie will ask for a lot in return.

Essie- To Buy or Not To Buy

Hello everyone and welcome to another nail blast post 🙂

Today I want to discuss Essie’s To buy or not to buy.

To buy or not to buy is a muted, grey toned, lavender with a purple shimmer and belongs to Essie Nevigate her collection.

Which also includes

Orange, it’s obvious– a medium strength tangerine orange creme

A crewed interest– a light peach creme

Nevigate her– a light pear green crème

Tour de finance- medium strength fuchsia pink with pink & blue partical shimmer

Ole callente– a very red based coral creme

Plain swatch

To buy or not to buy is a muted, grey toned, lavander with a rich purple shimmer and fully covers in three coats.

This beautiful purple has a nice, smooth formula with no issues with bleeding, streaking or patchiness. The only issue I did find with this lavander was that the beautiful gemstone purple shimmer you see in the bottle completely disappears on the nail, which is really disappointing as this would have sent this polish from great to amazing!

Despite the shimmer disappearing this polish dries the same shade of purple you see in the bottle and dries realativly quickly.

I have to say I love this subtle, delicate colour and although it’s not a bright or bold purple, this polish has a mesmerising aura about it and I just can’t keep my eyes from staring at my nails.

Art swatch

If you’re read my reviews before you will know I love showing all the ways my chosen polish can be part of your life, in more ways than just your fingertips.

Below is everything that would look awesome paired with buy or not to buy and everything it has inspired and help create.

If buy or not to buy was to be worn with and inspire an outfit I think this classy day outfit would look awesome with buy or not to buy on this fingertips.

A lavander flower print playsuit paired with chunky heeled peep toe shoes and purple snake skin handbag.

A purple cat pendent with matching crystal cat earrings and purple gradient eyeshadow and lavander lipstick complete this cute, spring outfit

In my case I found this colour so relaxing, it reminded me of snuggling into bed, so I also did a bedtime outfit that would really shine with buy or not to buy on the fingertips.

A cropped star print top and shorts paired with fun, scooby snacks socks and a purple knitted hot water bottle with fluffy baubles.

If buy or not to buy was to inspire home decor, I think this classy with a twist bedroom represent the colour and vibe of this polish perfectly.

A lavander demask feature wallpaper paired with a purple demask bedding set and a purple, silk, twisted celling lampshade hanging above.

A grey and purple flower print feature artwork, a fun purple flowers print rubber duck feature accent item and full length grey with purple cluster flowers curtains completes this feminine style, modern bedroom.

Overall to buy or not to buy is firmly on my to buy list.

This purple is grown up and classy with a spellbinding allure and is great for chic casual or stylish going out Manis.

What ever the weather or season buy or not to buy will make any outfit shine.

Essie- At the helm

Hello everyone and welcome to another nail blast post 🙂

Today id like to discuss Essie’s At the helm.

At the helm is a medium strength, burnt, coral orange creme and belongs to Essie’s spring 2018 (Bon voyage) collection.

Which also includes:

Pass-port to sail- a milky sandy nude- sheer

Anchor down- dusky demin blue with grey undertones-creme

Bon boy-age- dusky pickle green creme

Stripes & sails- a dark teal creme

Perfect mate- dusky watermelon pink creme

I love Essie shade stories for their collections, I think it’s fun way to see what inspired the colours.

Here is the boy voyage collection’s shade story:

with a cool breeze at the tailwind & essie at the helm this sailing trip will be all stripes & sails. so find the perfect spot on the cape, anchor down & cozy up in your cable knit with your perfect mate. as you grab your pass-port to sail, get ready to say bon boy-age!

Plain swatch

At the helm is a strong, burnt, coral orange creme which fully covers between two and three coats depending on applying.

The formula of this Essie is lovely and smooth with no problems with streaking, bleeding or patchiness and dries in reality quick time.

At the helm is a lovely, pretty orange, something I very rarely say about orange, as it’s not my normal go to colour and I find oranges hard to match with my pale skin tone but if your like me in tone, this Essie will suit you down to the ground.

This burnt orange is bright yet sophisticated, fun yet glamorous and depending on what art style is used perfect for spring, summer and autumn.

Something I love about Essie is they usually do media photos showing the colour on three different skin tones to help you visual if it will suit you, which I find very helpful.

After receiving at the helm from the postman and could see the colour properly I was a little worried I’d brought a dupe again as I find Essie do sometimes repeat shades.

The colour I was worried I had duped it for was Taj ma haul, another burnt Essie orange and another rare orange favourite of mine.

Taj ma haul and at the helm are both burnt orange creme and a quick glance at the bottles you might think they are extremely similar but on closer inspection the burnt orange description is where the similarities stop.

Taj ma haul is a bright, light, more true orange creme whereas at the helm is a darker more red toned orange.

Although not similar when next to each other both are beautiful orange polishes.

Art swatch

If you’re read my post before you will know I love showing you all the ways my chosen polish can be part of your life, in more ways than just your fingertips.

Below is everything that would look awesome paired with at the helm and everything it has inspired and help create.

Me and my family love wax melts and creating an atmosphere through the sense of smell, if at the helm was transformed into a wax melt this is what I think it would smell like.

The black sea by SC bath and body

A base of citrus, sea salt, and plum with soft undertones of amber, dark musk, and cardamom. This scent works best for sea lovers, those who prefer darker scents, or those looking for a manly ‘clean’ scent.

If at the helm was to be worn with and inspire an outfit, I think this fun, contemporary outfit would look awesome with at the helm on the fingertips.

A tiger print crop top and matching mini skirt with corset ankle heels and a clear and orange tear drop gem pendent with a tiger paw print.

A orange corded handbag, a orange splash effect eyeshadow paired with matte orange lipstick completes this quirky, bright outfit.

If at the helm was to inspire home decor I think this cosy, traditional styled bedroom represents the colour and vibe of this polish perfectly.

A burnt orange country themed feature wallpaper paired with a cross hashed textured bedding set with a orange rose ball celling light hanging above.

A pencil drawn autumn leaves with fruit feature artwork, a metal work fox feature accent item and full length orange diamond curtains completes this snug, country love themed bedroom

Overall Essie’s at the helm is a versatile, grown up yet fun orange that will bring a smile to your face no matter what day your having.

If your going to have one orange in your collection I’d highly recommend this one.

I know this is definitely going on my favourite shelf.

Essie- The world is your Oyster

Hello everyone and welcome to another nail blast post 🙂

Today I want to discuss, the world is your Oyster by EssieThe world is your Oyster is a lilic foil shimmer with a blue flash overlay and belongs to Essie sea glass collection.
Which also includes:

At sea level- very light aqua blue

Don’t be salty- a light rose pink

Coral coast- a peachy champagne

High ties & dives- dark bronze with copper undertones

You me & the sea- a bright fuscia pink

The thing I love about Essie is thier little shade stories they add to thier collections.

Here is Essie- sea glass story.

the world is your oyster so let’s explore the ocean floor and look for precious items washed up on shore. don’t be salty that this aquatic adventure will only be you, me & the sea.  as you look along the coral coast you will become captivated by the luminous hues. the high tides & dives will show you the iridescent elements of nature – from pearls at sea level to sea glass on shore, you will be digging for more!

Plain swatch

The world is your Oyster is a lilac foil shimmer with a blue flash and fully covers in three coats.

This lilac foil shimmer although beautiful is hard work and has a difficult formula, because of the foil type, this polish is extremely sensitive and delicate, sometimes I swear I just looked at it wrong and it ended up with a dent.
The formula also was very streaky which means you need a very steady hand to apply to get any of the streaks to start to smooth out.

The other issue i had with this is Essie is it took forever to dry! and unfortunately the stunning blue flash you see in the bottle completely disappears on the nail.

This is a beautiful foil shimmer that in shade is completely unique but its so hard to use and time consuming that for me this polish is only going be used when I have a whole day to myself, that way I’ll have to time to re done when it smudges ( for this set I had to re-do three times) and have time to allow it to fully dry.

when buying this polish I did have a moment where I wasn’t so sure if I already had an Essie like it, as Essie do appear to do many foil like polish in their collections compared to other brands.

when i pulled out Girly Grunge and S’ill Vu Play from my Essie draw I did panic and think oh no i brought a dupe but on closer inspection you can see that although similar shades they do differ.

Girly grunge although is the same lilac shade it is a slight bit lighter and brighter in tone and is full on metallic polish with a harsher feel.

S’ill Vous Play although on the surface looks similar to both polishes but when you look closer you can tell that S’ll vous play is diffidently more pink in tone although it does have similar shimmer formula to the world is your oyster.

Do you need all three?  Although each are different, especially S’ill vous play, i’m not sure you need both, the world is your oyster and girly grunge, although one is darker then the other and one has a more shimmer effect they are almost the same base colour and personally I think it will all come down to which effect you like best. Whether you like a solid metallic or a softer shimmer.

World is your Oyster, girly grunge, s’ll boys play

Art swatch- TWIYO with a pop art nail style over the top

If you’re read my post before you will know I love showing you all the ways my chosen polish can be part of your life in more ways then just your fingertips.

Below is everything that would look awesome with the world is your Oyster and everything it has inspired and help create.

Me and my family love wax melts and creating an atmosphere through the sense of smell, if the world is your Oyster was transformed into a wax melt this is what I think it would smell like.

Beach towel by shimmer luxe
Scent Notes: A Super fragrant scent of a bright Summer’s day – warm florals, white musk and sandalwood & Freshly washed laundry

If The world was your Oyster was to be worn with and inspire an outfit, I think this stylish beach wear would look awesome with the world is your Oyster on the fingertips.

A purple foil open side ruffle swim suit paired with a purple rope tie cover up and purple crystal sandals.

A purple foil beach bag, a purple strew hat and lavender purple sunglasses complete this fun, stylish beach outfit.

If the world is your Oyster was to inspire home decor, I think this elegant, modern bedroom represents this Polish’s Colour and vibe perfectly.

Crushed velvet feature wallpaper paired with purple beaded bedding set and a purple wicker dome light hanging above.

A purple trees pallet knift style feature art, a  purple shimmer rock bird feature accent item and full length satin two toned purple curtains completes this contemporary, lux bedroom

overall world is your oyster is a beautiful unique foil polish but you will have to fight to get a smooth even looking nail set from it.

Personally this polishe’s life in your collection will all depend on whether you love the shade enough to spend the time and energy it will require to use.

Although this polish will be used in future manis I  sadly wont be rushing to get it out of my nail draw.

Thank you for reading my nail polish review and please come back soon for more nail polish blasts.
